Energoatom’s coeration with Westinghouse to help push Russia out of nuclear fuel market – minister
Energy Minister German Galushchenko is convinced this is possible, Ukrinform reports with reference to the ministry’s press service.
"The results of our coeration are inspiring, giving us confidence that as early as this year we will move Russia from the list of players in the nuclear fuel market. This will be facilitated by the close and fruitful coeration of Westinghouse and Energoatom specialists," said the energy minister.
According to Galushchenko, today the issue of getting rid of dependence on Russian nuclear fuel as soon as possible is critical for both Ukraine and all of Eure.

The minister recalled that Ukraine had stepped on the path of diversifying nuclear fuel supplies long before Russia's military aggression. Due to this, after a full-scale invasion, the country halted all nuclear fuel imports from Russia.
As reported, seven power units of Ukrainian nuclear plants, erated by NAEC Energoatom, have already been completely switched to the fuel produced by Westinghouse Electric Sweden AB.
