The cancellation of competitions for positions in government bodies with the participation of international experts will jeopardize the arrangement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), believes head of the budget committee of the Verkhovna Rada Roksolana Pidlasa.
"The independent competition for the Accounting Chamber had barely started yesterday when 56 MPs (mostly Batkivschyna, Opposition Platform for Life, but there are different factions) registered a constitutional motion to declare all competitions with international experts invalid. All these competitions were beacons of the IMF, and their cancellation threatens to disrupt the IMF arrangement, which means it directly hits the most vulnerable citizens – pensioners and those who receive assistance from the state budget, not to mention the financing of medicine and education," Pidlasa wrote on Facebook on Friday.
According to her, if the Constitutional Court decides to cancel such competitions, the participation of international experts in the selection of judges, heads of NABU, SAPO, members of the High Council of Justice, the Accounting Chamber, customs and other bodies will be stopped.
The participation of international experts strengthens the trust of partners in Ukraine and makes it possible to attract foreign funds, Pidlasa said. It is significant that criticism of such a procedure was expressed by the president of the aggressor country, she added.
"An attempt to 'demolish' the norms on the participation of international experts is, unfortunately, a fight against the future of Ukraine. It is a shame that MPs are doing this," she emphasized.
As reported, the Constitutional Court of Ukraine received a constitutional petition from 56 MPs of Ukraine with a request to check the constitutionality of a number of norms of Ukrainian legislation in connection with the involvement of foreign citizens in the work of important state bodies. In particular, the constitutional petition challenges certain provisions of the laws of Ukraine: on the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, on the High Council of Justice", on the judicial system and the status of judges, on the High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine, on the Accounting Chamber, on the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and many others.
