Tesla CEO Elon Musk retains his position as the richest person on the planet. Dozens of Russian billionaires also made the list, but not a single Ukrainian.
Who is on the list of the richest people on the planet?
The billionaire index has been significantly updated, Bloomberg reported.
Elon Musk has held the top spot for quite some time. His net worth is currently estimated at $722 billion, up $103 billion from the beginning of the year.
Google co-founder Larry Page is in second place with a fortune of around $327 billion. Third place is held by another Google co-founder, Sergey Brin , with an estimated fortune of $304 billion.

The rating traditionally reflects not only wealth, but also the dynamics of global technological and financial markets, where the IT and artificial intelligence industries have shown the greatest growth in recent years.

Musk is the CEO of the publicly traded company Tesla, the world's most valuable automaker, and the privately held rocket business SpaceX. These are the primary sources of his wealth:

- He owns about 390 million Alphabet Class C shares, which are also traded, according to the company's April 2022 filing and taking into account stock splits.
- Since Google's initial public offering in 2004, the billionaire has sold more than $11 billion in Alphabet and Google shares.
Sergey Brin
Brin is also the co-founder of Alphabet, the holding company that owns Google.
- It owns about 360 million Class C shares, which are also publicly traded.
