Wheat prices in Ukraine have not changed despite demand

Wheat prices in Ukraine have remained relatively stable recently. The market is supported by active demand from processors and restrained grain sales by farmers.

What is happening on the Ukrainian wheat market?

There have been no significant price changes on the Ukrainian wheat market, APK-Inform reports. At the same time, the market continues to be affected by limited grain supply and stable demand from processing enterprises.

According to them, many farmers are currently in no hurry to sell wheat. Only a few producers agree to a slight price reduction in order to replenish their working capital ahead of the spring sowing campaign.

Please note! As a result, the demand prices for second-class wheat are formed in the range of 9,600 hryvnias to 10,800 hryvnias per ton under the terms of delivery of CPT.

Feed wheat is traded in the range of 9,000 to 10,100 hryvnias per ton under the same conditions.

Important! In the ports of Ukraine, prices for food wheat range from 213 to 220 USD per ton on CPT-port terms. Feed wheat is offered at prices from 208 to 215 USD per ton.

New US forecast: corn and wheat harvest in Ukraine may be higher

  • The USDA raised its forecast for Ukraine's wheat harvest to 24 million tons and corn to 30.7 million tons, while lowering its forecast for barley to 5.6 million tons.

  • World wheat production is estimated at 842.1 million tons, corn at 1 billion 297.4 million tons, and barley at 154.3 million tons.
