In Ukraine, a wave of price declines for basic vegetables, including onions, beets, and potatoes, continues. At the same time, some items, on the contrary, are becoming more expensive due to active demand.
What has become more expensive and what has fallen in price on the vegetable market?
The Ukrainian vegetable market is experiencing mixed price trends, EastFruit reports. Onions continue to fall in price (from 7-9 to 6-8 hryvnias per kilogram), and this is happening against the backdrop of already low prices.
For the third week in a row, prices for table beets (from 8-11 to 7-10 hryvnias per kilogram) and potatoes (from 6-12 to 5-11 hryvnias per kilogram) have been decreasing. At the same time, carrots are showing the opposite dynamics – their cost has increased compared to the previous week (from 6-11 to 8-13 hryvnias per kilogram).
Due to active demand, the price of tomatoes is rising (from 150-165 to 160-170 hryvnias per kilogram) and sweet peppers (from 200-260 to 250-270 hryvnias per kilogram). On the other hand, cucumbers began to fall in price due to an increase in supply on the market (from 150-250 to 140-220 hryvnias per kilogram).
The price of cauliflower has been increasing for the second week in a row (from 160-170 to 170-185 hryvnias per kilogram). The price of Beijing and red cabbage has also increased.
Among greens, mixed dynamics are observed: parsley has become cheaper, while dill , on the contrary, has increased in price. In addition, the price range of green onions has expanded.
Please note! No significant changes were recorded in the fruit segment. The exception was strawberries , which rose in price (from 180-200 to 190-210 hryvnias per kilogram), while prices for other popular fruits remained stable.
