It is not yet possible to privatize the garden
During the period of martial law in Ukraine, restrictions on land privatization are in place, the Land Fund of Ukraine reports. This is a temporary measure to protect state resources.
According to experts, in most cases, the privatization of land plots is suspended during martial law. This also applies to vegetable gardens, even if you have been using them for many years.
Important! If you actually use the garden, you cannot be forced to vacate the land without a court order or without an official procedure. The right of use is retained.
However, in this case, you still need to be vigilant. Check the documents . If you have a decision of the village council, a land deed, or a lease agreement, this is your protection.
- Also prepare a request to the local authorities . Officially ask to explain the reasons for the ban and receive a written response.
- Record the fact of use . Photos of cultivated land, inspection reports, or testimony from neighbors can be evidence of your rights.
- After the martial law is lifted, resume the privatization procedure . The restrictions are temporary. After they are lifted, you will be able to apply for property registration.
