The Center for Free Legal Aid reminded that amateur and sport fishing on Ukrainian public water bodies does not require special permits .
However, on these principles, a daily allowance for one person is provided – no more than 3 kilograms, as well as one additional fish.
In addition, it is allowed to use fishing rods and spinning rods of all types using artificial or natural bait, but the number of hooks should not exceed 7 per person.
The fisherman should also have a device with him to measure the length of the “trophies”. If he comes across a fish that is smaller than the established standards, it should be immediately returned to the reservoir.

Please note! Stricter rules apply during the spawning season, which usually lasts from April to early summer. During this time, you will have to limit yourself to fishing only from the shore, with two hooks or spinning with artificial bait.
