In January 2026, Ukraine significantly increased its purchases of pork abroad, importing 3.4 thousand tons of products. The main suppliers remain the countries of the European Union, among which Denmark is the leader.

In January 2026, Ukraine imported 3.4 thousand tons of pork, according to data from the State Customs Service. This is 10.5 times more than in the same period last year.
In monetary terms, import volumes increased 12.3 times. The total value of imported products amounted to 7.5 million US dollars.
Ukraine received the largest share of imported pork from Denmark – 49.9 percent of the total. Poland with a share of 20.6 percent and Germany – 18.6 percent also remain among the main suppliers.
In total, during the 12 months of 2025, Ukraine imported 30.8 thousand tons of pork, which is an average of 2.6 thousand tons per month. The total value of imports during this period reached 76.3 million US dollars. Denmark was also the largest supplier last year with a share of 57.5 percent.
