Ukrainian producers reduced grain exports

As of March 23, 2025/26 marketing year, Ukraine exported 24.8 million tons of grain and leguminous crops. This is 7.4 million tons, or 23% less than in the same period last season, according to data from the State Customs Service of Ukraine.

Rye exports remain minimal – only 0.2 thousand tons compared to 10.8 thousand tons a year earlier. The largest volumes are traditionally accounted for by corn – 13.5 million tons, however, a 19% decline year-on-year was recorded here as well.

Please note! Flour exports also decreased, amounting to 47.8 thousand tons – 9% less compared to last year.

Ukraine is changing the soybean market: less harvest – more processing

  • Soybean production in Ukraine in 2025/26 will decrease due to a reduction in sown areas, but soybean oil processing and exports will remain stable.

  • Changes in the market are due to the introduction of an export duty for traders, which stimulates domestic processing of soybeans and reduces exports of raw materials.
