The government is accelerating the introduction of demined lands into cultivation

The government has made changes to the Procedure for inspecting land plots that benefit from privileges due to possible mine contamination, Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko announced.

From now on, local governments will check whether such lands are being used for their intended purpose. The information collected will be transmitted to the Humanitarian Demining Center, after which mine action specialists will conduct a non-technical survey to confirm or refute the fact of contamination.
