As many as 2,565,258 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases had been reported as of 09:38 on April 22, according to the Coronavirus COVID-19 Global Cases dashboard by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University.

The overall death toll is 177,501 people, while 686,634 coronavirus patients have already recovered.
The three countries most affected by the coronavirus pandemic include the United States (825,306 confirmed cases), Spain (204,178), and Italy (183,957).
The highest death toll was recorded in the United States (45,075 people), Italy (24,648), Spain (21,282), and France (20,796).
As UNIAN reported earlier, the World Health Organization chief warned on Monday that “the worst is yet ahead of us” in the coronavirus outbreak, reviving the alarm just as many countries ease restrictive measures aimed at reducing its spread.
