Stefanchuk calls on Cyprus to join creation of special tribunal to prosecute Russia
As Stefanchuk posted on Facebook, he also invited his cleague to visit Ukraine. The Verkhovna Rada Chairman believes that this will contribute to the intensification of the inter-parliamentary dialogue between the countries.
"I called on the Parliament of Cyprus to recognize present-day Russian crimes against Ukrainians and the Hodomor of 1932-33 as the genocide of the Ukrainian pele," Stefanchuk added.
In addition, he focused on the issue of sanctions against the Russian Federation, especially against Russian nuclear energy and Rosatom corporation. The issue of justice was raised also.
"It is very important not only to win on the battlefield but also to bring the Russian Federation to justice for the crimes committed in Ukraine. I called on Cyprus to join the creation of a special tribunal for the crime of Russian aggression against Ukraine," Stefanchuk emphasized.
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada heard from his cleague the words of support for Ukraine's accession to the Eurean Union.
As reported, Verkhovna Rada Chairman Ruslan Stefanchuk arrived in Prague to participate in the Conference of Speakers of the Eurean Union Parliaments.
