Number of confirmed COVID-19 cases worldwide nearing 1,120,000

Some 226,873 COVID-19 patients have already recovered.

The number of confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) cases worldwide has increased to 1,119,109.

The data as of 10:22 a.m. local time on April 4 was provided by the Coronavirus COVID-19 Global Cases dashboard by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University.

The top five countries with the highest number of confirmed cases were the United States with 278,458 cases, Italy with 119,827, Spain with 119,199, Germany with 91,159, and France with 83,029.

The total deaths stood at 58,955. The highest death tolls were reported in Italy (14,681 people), Spain (11,198), France (6,507), the United Kingdom (3,605), and Iran (3,294).

Some 226,873 COVID-19 patients have already recovered.

As many as 181 countries have been affected by the virus.

As of 10:00 Kyiv time on April 4, Ukraine had confirmed 1,096 cases, including 28 deaths.
