In the city’s Botanical Garden, quite many local residents were spotted, although they adhered to social distancing rules.

Journalist Serhiy Rudenko has posted photos of sunny empty streets of the capital city of Kyiv amid quarantine introduced to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

“Kyiv is in quarantine. I’ve never seen this kind of Kyiv in the past 33 years. Empty streets, all cafes, restaurants, shops, theaters are closed. Everything is in quarantine. The city during an epidemic,” he wrote on Facebook, posting the relevant photos.

In turn, an UNIAN correspondent over the past weekend visited the city’s Botanical Garden. He says that due to the start of magnolia blossoming season, many Kyiv residents did attend the location, while sticking to social distancing rules.
