About 30 projects completed under NEFCO's Green Recovery Programme for Ukraine

The Nordic Environment Finance Corporation (NEFCO) has successfully completed 30 projects under the Ukraine Green Recovery Program, developed in response to Russian aggression in 2022, NEFCO investment consultant Yulia Shevchuk said in an interview with the Interfax-Ukraine agency.

“We are actively moving forward within the framework of this program. Currently, it covers more than 60 projects, and several more are in the preparation stage. Despite the military actions, we managed to complete 30 projects. The main areas of our activity include increasing energy efficiency in public sector buildings, reconstruction and construction of new housing for internally displaced persons, as well as the implementation of projects related to critical infrastructure. We work in the areas of water supply, heat supply and waste management, promoting their modernization and sustainable development,” Shevchuk shared.

In total, NEFCO’s Green Recovery Facility for Ukraine has attracted more than EUR323 million. Around two-thirds of this amount was provided by the European Union, and the remaining third by NEFCO’s founders, the Nordic countries (Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland), as well as the Eastern Europe Energy Efficiency and Environment Partnership (E5P) and the Nordic Environmental Development Fund (NMF).
