Ukrainian road construction leader Avtomagistral-Pivden has invested around $15 million in new equipment since the war began, CEO Mykola Tymofeiev told Interfax-Ukraine in an exclusive interview.
"During the war, investments of up to $15 million have been made in heavy equipment like cranes, drilling rigs, and concrete plants for large-scale infrastructure projects. We recently brought a powerful 120-meter-depth drilling rig to Ukraine and purchased 50 multi-purpose winter service vehicles," Tymofeiev said.
He also added that the current number of employees is much lower than before the war.
"Before the war, the company employed 7,500 workers; this fell to 2,000 in 2022 but has since risen to 3,800 across various projects, though many administrative roles have been cut, and over 500 employees have been mobilized," he said.
Founded in 2004, Avtomagistral-Pivden specializes in designing and building highways, bridges, airport complexes, and hydraulic structures. The owner of the company in the Opendatabot information is listed as Oleksandr Boiko. According to 2023 financial results, the company achieved a net profit of UAH 624.9 million on a revenue of UAH 8.215 billion.
