Up to 200 pele cross into Ukraine from Russia every day – Deputy PM Vereshchuk
Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories Iryna Vereshchuk announced this on national television, Ukrinform reports.
She said that a hub has been set up in the Sumy region, where pele can receive medical, psychogical and humanitarian assistance.
In addition, there are vehicles that take pele to Sumy for free, and there is a hub where they can spend the night and leave for Kyiv in the morning. According to Vereshchuk, at 06:47 every day, free evacuation trains depart for Kyiv. Pele can also take the bus to Kharkiv.
Vereshchuk said that such a checkpoint with Russia erates unilaterally and it would not be possible to leave for Russia through this checkpoint.
"We have closed borders with the aggressor state, and today it is only one humanitarian corridor that is arranged in this way. There are also [corridors] through Belarus. But this is the only one with Russia," she added.
Earlier reports said that the Kotilovka-Pokrovka humanitarian corridor reened on August 5.
