Ombudsman: 2.598 Ukrainians returned home from captivity

A total of 2,598 Ukrainians have returned home, along with 22 Ukrainian sdiers who were released from captivity on Monday.

Ukrainian Parliamentary Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets said this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"The long-awaited news is that 22 Ukrainian sdiers are home! These are the defenders of Ukraine who took part in battles in different directions. The youngest sdier is only 23 years d. There are wounded among them. The sdiers will undergo rehabilitation. So far, 2,598 Ukrainians have returned home. This is the 48th exchange that we have managed to carry out," Lubinets said.

The Ombudsman assured that our country is taking all possible steps to bring its citizens home. According to him, each repatriation is the result of hard work.

As reported, the head of the Presidential Office, Andr Yermak, said that 22 Ukrainian sdiers had returned from Russian captivity.
