Weapons permit now available in the “Diya” app: how to use the new service
From now on, gun owners in Ukraine can store and present their permits directly through the “Diya” app. This innovation simplifies the process of accessing the necessary documents and reduces dependence on paper media.
How to add a gun permit to “Actions”
To use the new service, follow these steps:
- Update the Action app to the latest version;
- Open the “Documents” section;
- Scroll to the end of the list of documents and click “Add document”;
- Select the “Weapon Permits” option;
- After that, your weapon permit will be available in the application.
This feature is available to citizens aged 18 and over whose weapons are registered in the Unified Weapons Register and whose RNOKPP tax number is confirmed.
Benefits of the new service for gun owners
Integrating a gun permit into “Act” provides several important advantages:
- Convenience: you no longer need to carry a paper permit – it is always at hand in your smartphone;
- Security: the electronic document is protected from loss or damage;
- Efficiency: the ability to quickly generate an extract from the Unified Weapons Register without additional services or visits to institutions;
- Notification: “Diya” will inform you about the approaching expiration date of the permit, which will allow you to renew it in time.
According to Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Development of Education, Science and Technology – Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov, this service is aimed at increasing convenience and safety for gun owners, as well as reducing bureaucratic procedures.
The service is currently in beta testing. The “Diya” team is analyzing user feedback and working on improving the functionality. It is planned to expand the capabilities of the service and integrate new functions to ensure maximum user comfort.
