The SBU has collected evidence against Okhlobystin, who publicly called for the destruction of Ukrainians and supported the Russian Federation's war against Ukraine.

What is known?

According to the investigation, in September 2022, Okhlobystin was one of the main speakers at a rally-concert on Red Square in Moscow , organized in honor of the fake “annexation” of the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine to the Russian Federation.

During his speech, he openly called for continued armed aggression, the killing of Ukrainians, and the further seizure of territories.

Racist propaganda

The SBU also documented other statements by Okhlobystin in which he supported the spread of the Kremlin regime throughout Ukraine.

The Kremlin regularly rewards the person involved for his activities as an ideological propagandist who justifies the war crimes of the occupiers.

What accusations did the SBU make?

Based on the collected evidence, SBU investigators informed Okhlobystin in absentia of suspicion under the following articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:

  • Part 3 of Article 110 – encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine;
  • Article 436 – propaganda of war;
  • Part 3 of Article 436-2 – justification, recognition as lawful, denial of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, glorification of its participants.

What's next?

Since Okhlobystin is hiding in Russia, measures are underway to bring him to justice. The investigation was conducted under the procedural guidance of the Prosecutor General's Office.
