Defender of Zhytomyr “Polissya” Borys Krushynskyi was injured on the eve of the 2026 World Cup qualifying match against Sweden. This was reported by the press secretary of the Ukrainian national team Vitaliy Pletsan.
Krushynskyi was first included in the Ukrainian national team's application for the playoff match of the 2026 World Cup qualification. However, as reported by the team headquarters, the defender suffered an injury during training on the eve of the match against the Swedish national team.
“Boris Krushynskyi was left out of the squad, in particular due to the fact that he was injured during the last pre-match training session, which took place the day before the match. He felt discomfort in his leg and would not have been able to help the team even if he had been in the squad,” the statement said.
