Ukrainian producers are preparing to supply pork to the EU
Ukraine is preparing to host a European Union verification mission that will inspect the state control system in the field of food safety, the “Ukrainian Pig Farmers” association reports. The goal is to open access for Ukrainian heat-treated pork to the EU market.
According to the association's vice president, Oleksandra Bondarska, the inspection could take place as early as April. Although it currently only concerns heat-treated products, this step is of strategic importance for the entire industry.
She emphasized that even a partial opening of the market would be an important signal to international partners. This would confirm the compliance of Ukrainian products with European quality and safety standards.
