In Mykolaiv, they are preparing to reopen a McDonald's restaurant that has not been open since 2022. The launch may take place later.
When will McDonald's open in Mykolaiv?
The final preparatory work before the opening of the institution is currently underway, as reported by the head of the Mykolaiv OVA, Vitaliy Kim, writes “Ekonomichna Pravda”.
According to him, the McDonald's restaurant will be operational by the end of March. By the way, on February 18, he mentioned negotiations with company representatives and noted that he had received assurances about the restaurant's quick return:
I had a conversation with McDonald's management – they assured me that a restaurant in Mykolaiv will open in the near future,
– said Kim.
At the same time, the company itself was previously more cautious in its assessments. They explained that the decision depended not only on internal plans, but also on external circumstances. They did not name specific dates at the time.
The network also reminds that the opening will be announced on the day of the launch – via the official website and social networks.
How has the number of McDonald's customers and restaurants in Ukraine grown?

In 2025, the company opened 12 new restaurants and renovated five existing ones. The chain first appeared in the Transcarpathian region – in Uzhhorod and Mukachevo, as well as in Hatne in the Kyiv region and in Lypyny near Lutsk.
The number of customers increased by 17% in 2025. The network's customer satisfaction level increased to 98.3% in 2025 compared to 96.7% in 2024.
A separate direction of development has become the digitalization of services:
- Throughout the year, the company improved its mobile application and continued to implement self-service terminals in all establishments.
- Currently, 85% of restaurant orders are placed through self-service terminals.
- The new “Mobile Order” function has provided over 100 thousand orders in the first two months of operation.
McDonald's plans to further expand its network and strengthen its presence in the regions of Ukraine in 2026. Earlier this year, the company opened two new restaurants – in Irpen and Kyiv.
