In Ukraine, the prices of carrots, beets, and potatoes continue to fall amid increasing supply. At the same time, some items, in particular onions and greenhouse vegetables, are showing price increases.
How have the prices of vegetables and fruits changed over the week?
The Ukrainian vegetable market continues to display mixed price dynamics, EastFruit reports. Amidst the increase in supply, carrots continue to fall in price (from 10-12 to 6-11 hryvnias per kilogram), while prices for table beets (from 9-11 to 8-11 hryvnias per kilogram) and potatoes (from 10-12 to 6-12 hryvnias per kilogram) are decreasing for the second week in a row.
At the same time, the onion segment recorded an increase in price (from 6-8 to 7-9 hryvnias per kilogram). The increase in demand also allowed sellers to increase prices for greenhouse cucumbers (from 150-220 to 150-250 hryvnias per kilogram). In addition, the cost of tomatoes increased (from 140-155 to 150-165 hryvnias per kilogram). and sweet pepper (from 180 – 200 to 200 – 260 hryvnias per kilogram).
In the cabbage segment, prices changed unevenly: cauliflower prices increased (from 125-145 to 160-170 hryvnias per kilogram), while blue cabbage prices decreased (from 20-25 to 15-20 hryvnias per kilogram). The price range of Beijing cabbage expanded (from 23-27 to 20-28 hryvnias per kilogram).
The sharp increase in the supply of radishes forced sellers to revise their prices downwards (from 200-220 to 75-100 hryvnias per kilogram). In the greens segment, dill , parsley and green onions rose in price, while lettuce, on the contrary, fell in price (from 210-230 to 160-220 hryvnias per kilogram).
Please note! In the fruit segment, there is a decrease in prices for apples (from 30-45 to 25-45 hryvnias per kilogram) and pears (from 100-120 to 55-120 hryvnias per kilogram). At the same time, tangerines have become more expensive (from 55-80 to 60-95 hryvnias per kilogram), and persimmons , on the contrary, have become cheaper. The decrease in prices for garden strawberries (from 180-250 to 180-200 hryvnias per kilogram) is also ongoing, which is associated with an increase in supply on the market.
