Volodymyr Zelenskyy has warned that Russia is preparing an operation against water supply systems in Ukraine. According to him, such attacks are possible in the coming months.

The President emphasized taking the protection of critical infrastructure in communities seriously.

Every community must have a serious attitude, an absolutely responsible attitude, towards protecting the relevant facilities,
– Zelenskyy called.

He also added that a selection was conducted for the regions affected by Russian attacks. Particular attention was paid to the Chernihiv region, where power supply was restored during the day.

The Head of State informed that he instructed the government and the Office of the President to work on air defense issues together with the military. This includes, in particular, protection against enemy drones, including in the western regions of Ukraine.

Critical Infrastructure Attacks: Latest News

  • Chernihiv Energy reported on March 25 that 150,000 people were left without electricity as a result of a Russian attack on an energy facility in the region. Chernihiv and the Chernihiv district were without electricity.

  • On March 24, due to massive shelling of the energy sector, parts of Zaporizhia, Odesa, Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Kherson regions were without electricity, according to the Ministry of Energy.

  • During the attack on the energy sector in southern Ukraine, a key power line in Moldova was shut down. Experts were assessing the consequences and trying to stabilize the system.
