
Alleged members of a drug gang will be tried in Kyiv. According to the case materials, the suspects created an extensive drug distribution network for “VIP clients” and earned up to half a million dollars a month from cocaine sales.

It is noted that law enforcement officers exposed the activities of the suspects in August last year. The investigation established that the suspects had fake volunteer ID cards, fictitious passes and documents from state institutions. With their help, they masked illegal activities and “worked” during curfew. Orders were accepted through messengers, where they also advertised the “goods” and guaranteed their quality and delivery at any time of the day.
“The drugs were delivered from other cities in shampoo bottles and mail. The price of one gram of cocaine was $200 during the day and $250 during curfew. At night alone, dealers sold up to 2,000 doses each month, which brought them almost half a million dollars in profit,” the report says.
Law enforcement officers conducted searches simultaneously in Kyiv, Odessa, and Dnipro and seized drugs, weapons, forged documents, over 1.6 million hryvnias in various currencies, 53 mobile phones, and 65 bank cards.
Also, 11 citizens were detained and charged under Part 2 of Article 255 Creation, leadership of a criminal community or criminal organization, as well as participation in it , Part 3 of Article 307 Illegal production, manufacture, purchase, storage, transportation, shipment or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. One of the defendants, who, according to the investigation, was a courier, is also suspected of part 1 of art. 263 Illegal handling of ammunition of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanctions of the articles provide for up to 12 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.

Every month, the suspects produced up to 25 kg of amphetamine and LSD. Their value on the shadow market can reach 2.5 million UAH. The manufactured drugs were distributed in Kyiv and other regions.
