During the night and day of March 24, Russian forces attacked Ukrainian cities with strike drones and missiles of various types. The enemy targeted both civilian targets and critical infrastructure, including energy infrastructure.

Vinnytsia, Ternopil, Lviv, Dnipro, Zaporizhia, Poltava, Khmelnytskyi, Zhytomyr and Ivano-Frankivsk were hit.

However, Ukrenergo reported that even despite the shelling, no measures to limit electricity consumption are expected . At the same time, they urged people to use powerful electrical appliances only during the daytime – from 10:00 to 15:00.

What is known about the consequences of the attack on Ukraine on March 24?

  • Three people were injured in an attack on a high-rise building in Dnipro. The building was partially damaged. The number of victims later increased to 12. The same number of people were injured in Russia's attack on Zaporizhia.

  • Enemy drones hit three districts of Lviv. In the city center, a UNESCO heritage site was hit. A residential building was damaged in Sykhiv, and debris from a Russian UAV fell on Bandera Street. The number of injured has increased to 23 people.

  • In Vinnytsia, the enemy attacked the central district of the city – 11 people were wounded, one person was killed.

  • In Ivano-Frankivsk, a drone hit a maternity hospital area. The buildings were damaged, and there were injuries and fatalities.

  • Explosions were also heard in Ternopil. There, an enemy UAV hit one of the administrative buildings and hit the pediatric department of the city hospital.
