Zelensky thanks Luxembourg for recognizing Hodomor as genocide

President Vodymyr Zelensky thanked Luxembourg for recognizing the Hodomor of 1932-1933 as genocide of the Ukrainian pele.

The head of state wrote about this on Twitter, Ukrinform reported.

"The Chamber of Deputies of Luxembourg recognized the Hodomor of 1932-1933 as genocide of the Ukrainian pele. I am grateful to Luxembourg for this historic vote. The world will never accept the crimes of the Kremlin regime – neither past nor present!" Zelensky emphasized.

In turn, Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada ena Kondratiuk thanked the Parliament of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg on Facebook for recognizing the Hodomor as genocide.

According to her, this is one step closer to restoring historical justice for the Ukrainian pele.

"We also appeal to the Chamber of Deputies of Luxembourg to provide a clear assessment of Russia's latest crimes – to recognize Russia as a terrorist state," added the Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada.

At the same time, she thanked Luxembourg for providing humanitarian aid to Ukraine worth 90 million euros and hosting more than five thousand internally displaced Ukrainians.

As reported, the day before, the House of Deputies of Luxembourg adted a resution recognizing the Hodomor of 1932-1933 as genocide of the Ukrainian pele.
