Dmitry Komarov is the country's leading traveler, the permanent host of the program “The World Inside Out”. He has traveled to the most remote regions of the world to show viewers the lives of people there. After the start of the Russian full-scale invasion, the host focused on researching Ukraine, in particular, covering the realities of war.

How has Dmitry Komarov changed?
Dmitry Komarov is originally from Kyiv. He has two degrees: he graduated from the National Transport University with a degree in Engineering and the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts with a degree in Public Relations. However, from a young age he dreamed of a career as a journalist.
At the age of 12, Dmytro published his first article, and at 16 he began working for the weekly magazine “Telenedelya” – he was appointed editor of the column “Cholovik”. Komarov also worked as a photojournalist – he photographed Ukrainian and world stars who came to Kyiv on tour, and sold the photos to publications.
For six years he worked for the newspaper “KP v Ukrainy”. He was also a correspondent for the newspaper “Izvestia v Ukrainy”, wrote for Playboy, EGO and other magazines.

Komarov was interested in travel, especially unpopular routes, even during his student years. The guy made photo reports from exotic countries, which he sold to various publications, and also organized photo exhibitions.
During a trip to Thailand, Dmytro thought about creating a travel program. That's how “The World Inside Out” was born. However, even before the project, the man had traveled to more than 20 countries.

Komarov approached many TV channels with his idea, but only “1+1” agreed to it. The first season of the program “The World Inside Out” was aired in 2010-2011. It was filmed in Cambodia with the money of a traveler.

With the “World Inside Out” program, Dmytro also visited India, Africa, Vietnam, Indonesia, Latin America, South America, Nepal, Japan, Brazil, China, Pakistan, Ecuador, and Colombia.

In 2021, the presenter released his own project “Travel Ukraine with Dmitry Komarov”, which he created for the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's independence. The idea for the program came to the man at a time when the coronavirus pandemic was raging in the world.
In total, 3 seasons of Komarov's original project were released. Together with cameraman Oleksandr Dmitriev, Dmytro visited Dzharylgach Island, Hoverla, Oleshkivske Pisky, and other places in our country.

During the full-scale invasion, Komarov visited the cities of the Kyiv region that Ukrainian troops liberated from the Russian occupiers: Gostomel, Bucha, Irpen, and other regions of Ukraine.
Dmytro continues to travel and explore Ukraine. Last year, the premiere of season 3 of the program “The World Inside Out. Ukraine” took place, and recently the final episode of the season was released.
