K-pop stars BTS have released the music video for their first single, Swim, from their long-awaited album ARIRANG. The band's previous album was released in 2020, six years ago.
The video for Swim was shot by Ukrainian director Tanya Muino, and the director of photography was Ukrainian Nikita Kuzmenko. The clip has already been presented on YouTube and in just five hours the video has collected 13 million views.
As the BBC wrote, the song Swim talks about how you should go with the flow of life and move forward, even when circumstances try to pull you under.
Note that the main role in the video was played by American actress Lili Reinhart, who is known to viewers as Betty from the TV series “Riverdale”.

The release of the new music video comes amid huge hype ahead of BTS's open-air concert in downtown Seoul. It will be the band's first concert after a nearly four-year hiatus, during which all seven members served mandatory military service. The performance will take place ahead of BTS' 82-date world tour.
By the way, Swim is not Tania Muinho's first collaboration with BTS. In 2023, she filmed the music video for Jungkook's “Standing Next to You.” The video was shot at the abandoned Kelenfeld power plant in Budapest, and Ukrainian model Pasha Harulya also appeared in the frame.
