In Kyiv, this year's spring vacation for schoolchildren will traditionally last a week — from March 23 to 29.

According to Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration, Valentyn Mondryivskyi, in January schools already had a forced two-week vacation, in accordance with the Cabinet of Ministers' order. At that time, they considered the possibility of compensating for this period at the expense of spring vacation. At the same time, the city authorities took into account the position of the educational community, which suggested not canceling the vacation.
“When the educational process was resumed in February after the forced holidays, this issue was discussed with the educational community of the capital, in particular with the Association of Kyiv School Principals. After a difficult winter, it is important for children and teachers to have time to rest in order to regain strength before the end of the school year,” said Valentyn Mondryivskyi.
