President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that 228 Ukrainian specialists are in the Persian Gulf countries, where they are assisting local air defense forces in combating Iranian strike drones.
He said this while talking to journalists, a correspondent for Suspilny reports.
“228 of our experts are in Qatar, the Emirates, and Saudi Arabia. We are also working with Kuwait and Jordan. I will not disclose the details. We are working on the ground. Local air defense specialists are at a fairly high level, but they work more with ballistics. As for small-scale air defense, how to work against massive strikes by the “Shaheeds,” no one except us has such experience,” the president said.
Zelenskyy previously reported that Ukraine had received 11 requests from Iran's neighboring countries, European states, and the United States for security support in countering Iranian “shaheeds” and other similar challenges.
