The singer's real name is Kateryna Kondratenko. When she was 8 years old, she first appeared on television, where she performed at one of the concerts. By the way, it happened by chance. Already in 1992, the artist won the grand prix at a song contest. This event was a good impetus in the singer's career, because there she managed to meet her future composer and mentor Sergei Smetanin. The first album was released in the period 1997 – 1999 under the name “Mermaids In Da House”. She managed to declare herself not only in Ukraine, but also in the USA, European countries and the Middle East. Already in 2001, Katya performed in London, where she gave more than 40 concerts with a concert program. And this is not surprising, because the singer's style is unique.
In 2002, together with the band “Tartak”, they released the legendary song “Above the Clouds”.

In 2008, the singer decided to create the band Katya Chilly with other musicians. In the following years, she immersed herself in working on the material and somewhat reduced the number of public appearances.
The singer's breakthrough came in 2017, when Katya Chilly came to the project “Voice of the Country”. Although the artist turned over all the coaching chairs, she did not plan to continue participating in the show. The star judges convinced her and Katya went to Tina Karol's team. In the final, she lost the prize place to another participant.

Personal life
It is known that the artist was the wife of musician Alexei Bogolyubov. In 2013, they had a son, Svetozar, but almost immediately after the boy was born, the couple divorced. According to Katya, her husband left the family.

The artist and her son do not eat meat, fish, eggs, and yeast products, because, according to Katya, it is this approach that ensures that Svitozar does not get sick.
