A 44-year-old man and his 80-year-old wife attempted to cross the Ukrainian border at the “Mohyliv-Podilskyi” checkpoint. Both are from Kyiv and have disabilities, but their accounts of their love story were somewhat inconsistent.
The State Border Guard Service provided more details about the Kyiv resident's decision to marry his mother-in-law.
What is known about this unusual love story?
During their conversation with the border guards, the couple tried to convince them of the sincerity of their feelings, despite the age difference. However, their story “fell apart.”
The man and woman were confused in their answers, unable to clearly describe the details of their life together. As it later turned out, the woman is actually the mother of the man's common-law wife, who is abroad.
“Love without age limits” turned out to be a legend for attempting illegal exit,
