Sobevsky: Humanitarian situation in de-occupied Kherson region more than satisfactory

The humanitarian situation in the liberated territory of the Kherson region is more than satisfactory, and the region is currently preparing to liberate the left bank. 

Yuri Sobevsky, First Deputy Chairman of the Kherson Regional Council, said this at a briefing at the Ukraine-Ukraine Media Centre, Ukrinform reports, according to Ukrinform. 

"As for the humanitarian situation, it is more than satisfactory, in my inion, as of now, thanks to the humanitarian support to the region and the organisation of the distribution of this humanitarian aid," Sobevsky said.

According to him, it happens that in some communities, local residents come up to us and tell us not to deliver humanitarian food – pele have stocked up as much as possible. However, according to Sobevsky, it is necessary to continue helping those categories of the pulation who need it, and it is important to understand that many pele have lost their jobs.

Sobevsky also stressed that, in addition, it is necessary to prepare for the liberation of the left bank, as the pulation will need very large amounts of support there. He noted that the situation in the occupied territory is difficult: there is no hunger there, but there is a problem with medicines and access to medical services. According to him, it should also be understood that the enemy, when withdrawing, leaves everything looted and destroyed. 

"Therefore, it will be necessary to restore it quickly and, first of all, to organise pele's access to medical services," said the first deputy head of the regional council. He stressed that the relevant department of the Regional State Administration is already working on this issue, with the help of MPs to formulate the needs that will be necessary for the left bank of Kherson region.

As Ukrinform reported, the Ukrainian Armed Forces liberated the right-bank part of the Kherson region, including the city of Kherson. Part of the region, located on the left bank of the Dnipro River, is temporarily occupied by Russian tros.
