Ukraine and Israel are preparing a conversation at the leadership level, during which they plan to discuss the security situation in the Middle East and common challenges. The dates for the talks are currently being agreed upon.
This was stated at a briefing by the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Heorhiy Tykhyi.
According to him, among the key topics of the upcoming negotiations are the security situation in the Middle East, countering common threats, in particular Iranian drones, as well as coordinating positions on international platforms.
The parties plan to pay special attention to the development of bilateral cooperation in the security sphere. Ukraine, as Tykhy stressed, is committed to a pragmatic and constructive dialogue with Israel, taking into account common security challenges.
At the same time, the exact dates for the conversation have not yet been determined. According to the Foreign Ministry spokesman, the initiative for contact had already come from the Israeli side, but the previously proposed time did not suit, so the parties are continuing to coordinate.
The Foreign Ministry notes that such contacts require time for coordination, and a new proposal for a date that will be convenient for both sides is currently expected.
