Rescuers search for man who tried to swim across Dnipro for third day

In Vyshgorod, Kyiv region, a man tried to swim across the Dnieper River by himself and disappeared from sight. They have been searching for him for three days.

This was reported by the State Emergency Service in the Kyiv region.

The man was spotted on Naberezhnaya Street. Rescuers arrived at the scene. They conducted aerial reconnaissance using a drone, but did not find anyone on the surface of the water.

The diving department of the Main Mobile Rescue Center of the State Emergency Service was involved in the search.

On February 12, the State Emergency Service of Kyiv Region reported that rescuers have been searching for a week for the body of a driver whose car fell through the ice on a reservoir near Lebedivka in Kyiv region while drifting. The body of one of the deceased was found earlier. According to rescuers, the operation was extremely difficult: they had to cut through the thick ice meter by meter, and due to almost zero visibility and a thick layer of silt, divers worked practically blindly.
