
A man died under the wheels of a train in Irpen, Kyiv region. He did not react to the signal warning of a train at the crossing.

A witness to the incident reported to law enforcement agencies that on March 11 at 11:17 p.m., a person was fatally injured at the Irpin railway station in Buchanskyi district.
Law enforcement officers have previously determined that a man who ignored a prohibited signal and walked on the tracks was hit by the wheels of the Teteriv-Borshchahivka train. He died on the spot from his injuries.
“The Kyiv Region Police reminds you that rail transport is a high-risk area. Be careful and follow safety rules on railway tracks,” the law enforcement officers emphasized.
On February 13, in the Kyiv region, a 23-year-old girl was crossing the tracks in an unspecified location and was hit by a Fastiv-Shostka train. She died on the spot.
In late January, police reported how a bus driver in Obukhiv collided with a 67-year-old man who was crossing the roadway at a non-designated pedestrian crossing. The pedestrian died. Also on January 29, two people died and 10 were injured in a road accident on the Kyiv-Odesa highway near the village of Mytnytsia.
