Chinese biathlete Jiayun Cai became the second athlete in history to win three gold medals at a single Paralympic Games. At Milan-Cortina 2026, Cai triumphed in the sprint, individual race and sprint pursuit.

The biathlon competition at the 2026 Paralympic Games has come to an end. The last individual start in the standing class was the sprint pursuit, which was won by Jiayun Tsai. In the fight for the “gold”, the Chinese biathlete was ahead of Ukrainian Grigoriy Vovchynskyi by only 0.2 seconds.
