Norwegian biathlete Sturla Legrade won his third consecutive World Cup gold medal, winning the sprint in Otepää, Estonia.
The current holder of the Great Crystal Globe began the eighth stage of the season with a victory. He finished the previous stage in Kontiolahti with two gold medals – in the men's relay and mass start.
In total, Legrade's podium streak (in team and individual events) has reached nine consecutive starts. It dates back to the 2026 Olympics, where Sturla won three silver and two bronze medals.
“I found my form at the Olympics. Now everything is easy. I just try to reach my potential – then I don't have to think too much about the results,” SVT quotes Legrade as saying.
