Participation in the “Star Factory”
Stas Shurins took part in the 3rd season of the talent show “Star Factory”, which was released in 2009, and became one of the most popular participants. During the project, the singer presented his original songs “Heart” and “Don't Go Crazy” and was a co-author of tracks for other artists. In the end, the Latvian won.

In 2010, the project “Star Factory. Superfinal” was released, where the most famous participants of all seasons appeared, in particular Shurins. Then the singer presented the songs “Rain” and “Be Yourself”, which he wrote himself. Stas managed to reach the final, but Alexey Matias won. Second place went to Erika, and third to Dmitry Kadnay.

Career after “Star Factory”
After “Star Factory”, Shurins continued to develop his musical career. In addition, in 2011 he became a participant in “Dancing with the Stars”, which aired on the STB TV channel. His partner was Olena Pul. The couple won.

In 2012, the singer released his debut album called “Round 1”, and Stas' second album, “Natural Selection”, was released in 2013.
The winner of “Star Factory 3” fought for the right to represent Ukraine at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014. Then Shurins presented the track Why. However, Maria Yaremchuk went to Copenhagen with the composition Tick-Tock.
In 2014, Stas represented Latvia at the international New Wave competition in Jurmala. He won the prize of Russian singer Alla Pugacheva.
Personal life
During the “Star Factory”, Stas Shurins began a romantic relationship with singer Erika, now known as MamaRika. Later, the lovers broke up. The Latvian initiated the breakup.

The artist also revealed that Shurins started a family and shared that they remained on good terms.

In February 2013, Shurins announced that he had secretly married, but did not reveal the name of his chosen one. That same year, the artist put his musical career on hold and left Ukraine, allegedly due to the “political situation in the country.”
Later it turned out that Stas moved abroad for the sake of his beloved. The singer said that in October 2013 she underwent brain surgery. Shurins' wife needed rehabilitation, so the couple went to Germany, where her parents live.
