American singer and actor Jared Leto has sought to register a trademark in the aggressor country of Russia. This is not the first time that the founder of the band Thirty Seconds to Mars has questioned his position on the war.
Jared Leto has filed for trademark registration under his own name – Jared Leto. This is reported by the Russian propaganda outlet RIA Novosti.
The actor and singer filed the relevant documents in March of this year. He plans to sell clothing, shoes, and hats under his brand.
The brand is planned to be registered in another class: entertainment services. This includes musical production, concerts, performances, and film development.
It should be noted that last year, Jared Leto did not hide his friendship with Russians. On his page, he boasted about a photo from the BAFTA Awards with Russian actors Yuri Borisov and Mark Eidelstein.

On October 11, 2024, Jared Leto performed in Serbia, where there were many Russians. The singer said that he “felt a lot of Russian energy” and called Russia's war against Ukraine “these problems.” He hoped that after it was over, he would be able to perform in Kyiv, Moscow, and St. Petersburg.

This outraged the Ukrainian audience. The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry emphasized that Russia has one “problem” – the existence of our country. Leto's words were called an insult to defenders who fight for freedom at the cost of their own lives.
