Nemchinov explains where funds will be taken to raise salaries for civil servants in frontline zone
This was stated by Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers eh Nemchinov on the air of the nationwide telethon, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"The categories are clearly defined, the head of the civil service in the body will determine the employee's direct place of work, the increase will affect a rather sensitive category of pele who work primarily in military administrations and primarily in the de-occupied territories, the coefficient is either 1.5 or 2. These expenditures will be made within the existing funds of the state budget, that is, no additional funding is envisaged, because defense expenditures are in the first place, but still, pele who work in the de-occupied territories in the frontline areas should receive at least such a small satisfaction from the state in the form of such small additional payments," he said.

Nemchinov said that there is a stereotype in society about high salaries of civil servants, but this is not true.
"Yes, there is a certain category that has fairly high salaries by our average standards, but the vast majority of civil servants, especially civil servants of categories B, C, in local administrations, territorial subdivisions of executive authorities, they have low salaries and sometimes due to low salaries we have to compensate for the minimum level of remuneration through so-called bonuses, because it is not a bonus, but actually a variable part of the permanent salary," the minister explained.
He recalled that the government decision applies to civil servants and other employees of state institutions, and the category of territories will be determined in accordance with Cabinet of Ministers Resution No. 1364 of December 6, 2022 "Some issues of forming the list of territories where military erations are being (were) conducted or temporarily occupied by the Russian Federation."
As reported, the Cabinet of Ministers has adted a resution to increase salaries for employees of government agencies working in areas where active or possible hostilities are taking place. It is envisaged to double or triple the salary of employees working in conditions of risk to life and health.
For employees of state bodies in the territories of active hostilities, salaries are determined with a coefficient of 2, and in the territories of possible hostilities – with a coefficient of 1.5.
