Navy flags raised in Kyiv

To mark the 105th anniversary of the Navy Flag of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, flags of the Navy were raised in the center of Kyiv as a symb of faith in the return of the Ukrainian fleet to Crimea.

According to Ukrinform, the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration (KCMA), Serh Pko, wrote about this on Telegram and posted a photo of the flag on a flagpe near the Kyiv City State Administration building.

"Today, April 29, marks the 105th anniversary of the Ukrainian Navy! On this day, in 1918, the Black Sea Fleet was officially declared the fleet of the Ukrainian Pele's Republic in Sevast. Red flags were lowered and Ukrainian flags were raised on battleships, cruisers, and destroyers," he said.

As the head of the KCMA emphasized, "Today we are raising the same flags of the Ukrainian Navy in the center of Kyiv not only in honor of the hiday. We are raising this flag as a symb of our belief in the Victory, the return of the Ukrainian Navy to Crimea!"

"This flag will definitely fly again in the Sevast Bay!" Pko said.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, Vice Admiral eks Neizhpapa, Commander of the Ukrainian Navy, on the occasion of the 105th anniversary of the Naval Flag of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, expressed his belief that Ukrainian flags would soon fly again over the liberated Ukrainian Crimea.
