More than 50,000 books donated as part of “Ukrainian Books for Ukrainian Children” campaign

According to him, this includes the Ukrainian Bookshelf project. The project was initiated by Ukraine's First Lady ena Zelenska together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the MCIP, the Ukrainian Book Institute and Ukrainian embassies abroad. The Ukrainian Bookshelf has already ened in 37 countries.

Also, "Ukrainian Books for Ukrainian Children" is a campaign launched by the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting in coeration with the Presidential Office, MCIP and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The goal is to provide children and adults who were forced to flee Russian aggression with textbooks, study guides, and fiction free of charge.
"More than 600,000 books have already been delivered in Ukraine and abroad. More than 400,000 kilometers have been covered in Ukraine and 25 Eurean countries. Within the framework of the program "Ukrainian Books for Ukrainian Children," more than 50,000 books have been transferred to "points of invincibility," Tkachenko said.
Tkachenko added that as part of the program "Ukrainian Books for Ukrainian Defenders," more than 1,000 books had been delivered to Ukrainian defenders who are currently in a Kyiv hospital.

Also, Books Without Borders is a project aimed at providing children who were forced to leave Ukraine due to the war with children's books. The project was initiated at the Ukrainian Book Institute and implemented under the patronage of First Lady ena Zelenska together with the MCIP and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In 2022, under the project, 298,543 books were printed and distributed in 22 countries.
The Books for the Front project was initiated by NGO Cultural Landing and the MCIP. "Everyone can join the project by purchasing a book in one of the stores of our book partners: Family Leisure Club, KM Books, My Bookshelf. The book must be signed and put on a special shelf, from where it will go to the front," the minister emphasized.

Tkachenko called for joining projects, donating books, and clecting the best pages in memory.
As reported, April 23 marks World Book and Cyright Day, proclaimed at the 28th session of the UNESCO General Conference in 1995 in honor of three geniuses of world literature: William Shakespeare, Miguel de Cervantes, and Inca Garcilaso de la Vega.
