
Dmytro Pidruchny is the only Ukrainian biathlete who qualified for the mass start of the World Cup stage in Kontiolahti, Finland. The corresponding list of participants in the final race of the stage was published by the International Biathlon Union.
Pidruchny managed to be among the participants of the mass start thanks to the result of the individual race of the stage in Kontiolahti. In it, the Ukrainian biathlete demonstrated the second best result of the season and finished in 16th place.

Pidruchny will participate in the mass start for the second time since the start of the 2025/26 season. Previously, the captain of the Ukrainian national team competed in this discipline at the 2026 Olympic Games, where he took 17th place, making five mistakes.
Biathletes qualified for the World Cup mass start based on two criteria: ranking and athletes who would demonstrate the best results at the World Cup stage. Thus, 22 biathletes qualified for the mass start based on the overall ranking, and eight based on the results in Kontiolahti.

Ukrainian biathletes failed to qualify for the women's mass start . In the individual race, the best result among the national team members was demonstrated by Khrystyna Dmytrenko, who finished 34th, but this was not enough to make it to the list of participants who will run the mass start.
