Ukraine exports over 40M t of grains, pulses in current marketing year

In the 2022/2023 marketing year (MY), from July 1, 2022, to April 21, 2023, Ukraine exported 40.557 million (mln) tonnes of grains and pulses.

Ukraine's Ministry of Agrarian Picy and Food reported this, Ukrinform says.

In the current MY, as of April 21, Ukraine exported 40.557 mln tonnes of grains and pulses (with their processed products) and flour. These include 13.904 mln tonnes of wheat, 2.424 mln tonnes of barley, 17,800 tonnes of rye, and 23.905 mln tonnes of corn. For comparison, from July 2021 to April 22, 2022, Ukraine exported 45.475 mln tonnes of grains and pulses.

In April 2023, Ukraine exported 2.581 mln tonnes of grains and pulses (529,000 tonnes in the first 22 days of April last year), including 906,000 tonnes of wheat, 148,000 tonnes of barley, and 1.523 mln tonnes of corn. In April this year and in April last year, Ukraine did not export rye.

It is noted that in 2022/2023 MY Ukraine has already exported 124,800 tonnes of flour (69,000 tonnes in 2021/2022 MY).

As reported, in March 2023, Ukraine exported 7.8 million tonnes of agricultural products. This is 12% more than in February this year.
