Singer Neil Young has given the people of Greenland a year's access to his music and documentary archives, apologizing for the actions of the US government.
This is reported by The Guardian.
“I hope my music and videos will ease some of the undue stress and threats you feel from our unpopular and hopefully temporary government,” Young wrote in a statement on his website.
The singer provided access to all the music he had created over the past 62 years and wished to enjoy it “in your beautiful Greenlandic home in the highest quality.”
This week, Young also again abandoned Amazon, as its CEO Jeff Bezos supports Trump: Amazon donated $1 million to Trump's inaugural fund in 2024. In October, Young announced that he would remove his music from Amazon Music, although it is still available.
Earlier this month, Young published three posts condemning ICE's actions in Minneapolis that led to the death of Renee Goode. Young wrote of Trump that “every move he makes is aimed at creating instability so he can stay in power.”
