The composition of the newly crowned Olympic champions, the French team, has also undergone changes: instead of the season leader Eric Perrot, Oscar Lombardo will start in the team race. There was also one substitution in the Norwegian team: after the Olympics, Johannes Dahle-Shovdal will run the relay instead of Martin Uldal.

Sweden will start the competition with its usual lineup. On the other hand, Germany and Italy will not be able to count on key biathletes: Justus Sternlow and Tommaso Giacomel, who ended the season early, have dropped out of the competition.
