Rescuers freed the boy's hand, which he had stuck between the sections of the battery at a school in the capital's Obolon district.
This was reported by the Kyiv State Emergency Service.
On the morning of March 5, a teacher at an elementary school on Heroes of the Azov Regiment Street called rescuers for one of his students. The nine-year-old boy's hand got stuck between the battery sections. He pushed it up to his elbow and was unable to free himself.
The rescuers lifted the battery, lubricated the “prisoner's” hand with soapy water, and carefully released him from the trap.
“After being freed, the boy hugged his rescuers and returned to the educational process,” the State Emergency Service noted.
